Chris Pickard

Chris Pickard is Managing Director of Pickard Consulting, Ltd, a London-based Alliance Partner of Movius Consulting that focuses on negotiations and consensus building. He also serves as Board Member at Policy Connect, a cross-party think tank. As a consultant and advisor with a special interest and expertise in policy and market access negotiations, Chris helps organizations to secure higher value agreements more quickly, while strengthening relationships with key stakeholders throughout the process.

Chris was previously Senior Director at Pfizer Inc, the global pharmaceutical company, where he held positions of increasing seniority over nearly a decade. As Senior Director and Regional Health & Value lead for Africa/Middle East, he focused on building an industry-leading market access and pricing function across the region. As lead of Pfizer’s Global Health & Value Academy, he worked to define a cross-enterprise approach to payer negotiations, and to build organization and individual capability in Pfizer’s teams around the world. As Director of Market Access for Rare Diseases, he led the global launch and successful reimbursement negotiations in over 15 countries for Vyndaqel (Tafamidis), a first in class treatment for Transthyretin Familial Amyloidosis.

Prior to joining Pfizer, Chris was Head of Public Affairs & Patient Relations for Novo Nordisk in the UK. He began his career in the British Parliament, working as the Group Manager of the All-Party Parliamentary Health Group.

Chris holds a first class honours degree in Politics, Philosophy and Economics from the University of York. He lives with his wife and daughter in London. He enjoys travel, food, and sports.
